Heaters No-Hit Norton in 8-0 Win!

The Heaters Baseball Club defeated the Norton Minor League All-Stars 8-0 in a game today at Veldon Dotson Park in Wise, Virginia.  Four Heaters pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter in four innings of shutout baseball.  Heaters pitchers allowed six walks but kept the Norton City all-stars off the scoreboard in the win.  They combined for 12 strikeouts.

Meanwhile, the Heaters offense combined for nine hits collectively and scored three times in the first inning and five more times in the second inning in the win.  The Heaters showed that their experience in kid pitch action all season has paid off as the eight runs and nine hits were all tallied in just three team at-bats.

The Heaters next games will be this weekend at Domtar Park in Kingsport, TN.  The club will then conclude the season with two kid pitch tournaments in the following weeks in Big Stone Gap, Virginia and Cincinnati, Ohio.
